Historic Delano was founded in 2007 to put on a St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Since then, we have organized or assisted with dozens of events bringing thousands of people to Delano.

Here is a retrospective of the journey.

Nancy has these visions... No, not that sort of visions! She sees possibilities in situations and finds ways to make things happen. Just beware whenever you hear "I have this vision..."

It all started with a simple parade...
"How difficult could it be? It's just a parade..."

Update to Delano Plan

The Delano Plan Advisory Committee met in January to review the draft document which was then presented to the public at an Open House in early February. In late February the committee met to review public comments and make final changes to the draft before it was presented to the County Commission and the City Council.

The updated plan was approved by the County Commission on April 11th, however politics at the City level postponed a decision until after some agreement could be had on what to do regarding Lawrence-Dumont stadium. As 2018 came to a close the plan was still in limbo.

St. Patrick's Parade has a new Organizer

For the 12th Annual St. Patrick's Parade, the City once again painted the centerline down the street in green! St. Patrick's day fell on a Saturday.
