A Timeline of Historic Delano

Historic Delano was founded in 2007 to put on a St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Since then, we have organized or assisted with dozens of events bringing thousands of people to Delano.

Here is a retrospective of the journey.

Nancy has these visions... No, not that sort of visions! She sees possibilities in situations and finds ways to make things happen. Just beware whenever you hear "I have this vision..."

It all started with a simple parade...

2008

Historic Delano Visitors Guide

In early 2008, we started work on a Visitors Guide for the district. It included a directory of Delano businesses and a map of Delano. The guide was paid for through ads around the perimiter and was distributed through the Convention and Visitors Bureau and the hotels in downtown and Old Town.

Ghost Stories of Historic Delano

About August of 2008 we were approached by a paranormal investigator about a ghost tour. In a disturbing trend we decide once again to put together an event in less than 2 months.

The first Ghost Stories of Historic Delano featured 11 locations and attracted over 400 "tourists." This event has become one of the most anticipated events in Delano and brings a large crowd of "frightseers" to the area.
