Weekly Events in DelanoThursday - Stitch & BitchTwist Yarn Shop - 607 W. Douglas - hosts a Stitch & Bitch every Thursday night from 6-8 pm. We encourage crafters of all skills (knit, crochet, cross-stitch or whatever) to come and hang out. We've got drinks (soda, coffee, tea and water) and free wireless internet. It's always a lot of fun. More... Thursday Night Pub PedalThursday nights (weather permitting), area bike enthusiasts meet at the Shamrock Lounge - 1724 W. Douglas Avenue - 7:00pm (or so). From there the group rides Eastward stopping at other establishments along the way. Anyone is welcome to ride but you must be 21 to enter most establishments. Monthly Events in DelanoFirst Friday Music CrawlFrom firstfriday.org - "Organized by a coalition comprised of local arts organizations ROK ICT!, Hartke Records and City of Sound, First Friday was conceived as the music supplement to the Wichita art crawl: Final Friday... With support from Wichita Downtown Development Corporation, the Wichita City Government, and numerous local businesses, ROK ICT! would like to welcome any venues, artists and/or businesses that would like to participate in the inception, development and execution of First Friday." First Saturday Movie NightTwist Yarn Shop - 607 W. Douglas - Movie Night is the first Saturday of each month at 6:00 pm. We project a movie on our 70" screen and knit & crochet while we watch. Movie titles for each month are on our website. More... Final Friday Art CrawlFinal Friday is a monthly event that celebrates visual and performing arts and features new exhibits and activities each month. As the name implies, Final Friday happens the last Friday of each month. Hours vary between different galleries but most are open during core hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The galleries unveil and debut new shows and the event is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Development Corporation. |
