Welcome to Historic Delano, one of Wichita's oldest neighborhoods.
Delano sprang up as a cowtown at the end of the Chisholm Trail and quickly gained a reputation as a place where trail-weary cowboys could take their rest and recreation in the many saloons and brothels.
Today Delano is home to dozens of unique locally-owned shops, art galleries and restaurants. Nightlife includes events like the Thursday Night Pub Pedal and the Final Friday Art Crawl.
Spend some time and discover Historic Delano.
Welcome to 2015!
We hope everyone had a great holiday season.
There are 2 events on our calendar this year. The St. Patrick's Parade and the Ghost Tour. Others seem to pop up, but these are the ones we have planned.
We will also be working with Delano United on various projects including:
A review of the Delano Neighborhood Revitalization Plan
The Chisholm Trail Parkway (railroad corridor)
Phase III of the Bike Racks
Establishing a permanent home for the Delano Farmers Market
Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates on what's happening in Delano.
